Cincinnati Children's Hospital is set to build a new 45,000-SF, three-story Winslow Research Pavilion in Avondale, with construction beginning in early 2024. This $42 million facility will house the Gamble Vaccine Research Center, the Discover Together Biobank, and a centralized freezer archive.

The Gamble Center will occupy the new building’s top two levels. The second floor will accommodate outpatient studies and offices, and the top story will have 16 beds for adult overnight studies. The state-of-the-art building, located at 2850 Winslow Ave., will offer advanced facilities for clinical research and long-term cold storage of samples.

BHDP Architecture, in collaboration with Messer Construction and other design partners, will lead the design and construction of this transformative project. The new pavilion is expected to be operational by mid- to late-2025, enhancing Cincinnati Children's capacity for groundbreaking vaccine research and clinical trials. BHDP is also currently partnering with Children's Hospital on a new Applied Gene and Cell Therapy Center in Sharonville, OH.
