Manchester University Breaks Ground on $20 Million Fort Wayne Expansion

Campus leaders and partners shovel dirt at Manchester University's Fort Wayne campus

Manchester University broke ground on Friday for a $20 million expansion of its Fort Wayne campus. BHDP is designing the new health sciences education facility as the next step in expanding the University’s health science programs on its Fort Wayne, IN, campus.

The ceremony took place at 11:15 a.m. at the expansion site on the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus. BHDP's Paul Orban, Higher Education Market Leader, and Todd Zalenski, Senior Interior Designer, were in attendance.

The expansion is expected to benefit Northeast Indiana, providing more educational opportunities in high-demand healthcare fields such as nursing and physical therapy.

In December 2022, Manchester University President Dave McFadden announced plans for a “brand-new” look for the Fort Wayne campus, featuring a new 32,000-SF facility. This addition will include physical therapy teaching labs, research and classroom spaces, a nursing simulation and skills laboratory, and an updated building façade with a new entrance.
