01 Challenge
Located in a mixed-use lifestyle center in Boca Raton, FL, Lord & Taylor looked to BHDP to design a two-story, 80,000-SF full interior renovation that is inspired by the Classic American architecture of the New York City flagship store, the innovative and revolutionary style of Lord & Taylor's fashion, and the lively and upbeat culture of Boca Raton.
02 Solution
The new prototype concept communicates three layers of aesthetic that represent Lord & Taylor’s brand. The first layer is the framework of an architectural envelope that evokes their American heritage, while a forward layer of modern furniture and showcases celebrate the fashion-forward merchandise. Hidden beneath the first two layers is a subliminal layer that speaks to the familiar Addison Mizner-inspired finishes and details of Boca Raton.
