01 Challenge
Sorel looked to BHDP to create a store concept in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. Initially, the brand envisioned a temporary pop-up occupying a 2,000 SF space.
02 Solution
For the Sorel store concept, the BHDP Retail design team drew inspiration from the "fashion-meets-utility" aesthetic, like the shoes themselves, indicative of the brand's persona.

03 Results
This simple yet impactful retail environment effectively sets the stage for the assortment to shine and truly brings the Sorel brand to life. The inviting store design layers a slick yet refined collection of elements executed in the brand’s signature color palette of black and white atop raw concrete and brick inside the building. Due to its strong reception, this store has been converted to a permanent destination. Strong sales and positive shopper reactions have encouraged the brand to add three more stores.
																									
										The bold over-scale “bear” logo focal wall, made up of some 200 tiles of footwear materials, create an experience both texturally rich and subtly sophisticated.
