Branch Renovation
01 Challenge
State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) sought to transform a newly acquired branch to reflect their commitment to community, enhance the member experience, and integrate modern technology while staying true to their tradition of personal service. The building posed several challenges, including a low ceiling, limited natural light, and poor street visibility. The goal was to create a secure, welcoming, and innovative space for members and employees, while maintaining SECU's relationship-driven philosophy.
02 Solution
The design team's initial focus was to carefully assess the existing building conditions to anticipate potential construction challenges and optimize the outcome for SECU. Our solution included a modest addition at the front of the building—a glass box that allows natural light to flood the space. This feature became central to the design, creating a more open, expansive, and inviting atmosphere for members.
