BHDP designed the new layout according to an open lab concept, focusing on the types of researchers that would occupy the space and what was needed to support their work processes. Renovations in Goss Laboratory were completed with the intent of promoting visibility and teamwork; the new design boasts flexible lab bays lit with natural light, DSL-2 tissue culture labs, equipment rooms and an open office workspace for graduate student collaboration.
