Easterseals Redwood Unveils $27 Million Campus in Walnut Hills

Local leaders and benefactors cut the ribbon on Easterseals Redwood's new facility

Easterseals Redwood celebrated the grand opening of its new $27 million facility in Walnut Hills with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 25, attended by local leaders and benefactors. This 101,000-square-foot campus, designed by BHDP Architecture, is home to the Klekamp Family Military and Veterans Center—the first of its kind in the region. Spanning 7,000 SF, the center provides veterans, military personnel, and their families with critical services, including legal assistance, mental health support, housing referrals, and help with military documentation, all within a welcoming and secure environment.

The campus also includes a 20,000-SF packaging and fulfillment center that creates employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, veterans, and economically disadvantaged people. The facility partners with companies such as Medpace and Thermo Fisher to package clinical trial test kits. Additionally, it hosts a care center for adults with disabilities and offers job training programs in collaboration with Hamilton County Jobs & Family Services, ensuring participants gain practical experience in a supportive setting. Easterseals’ administrative headquarters, with 72 employees, has also relocated to the new campus, enhancing the organization’s ability to serve the community.

Reflecting on the project, Chris Graham, Lead Architect at BHDP, shared, “It has been extremely fulfilling to help Easterseals Redwood transform their campus into an environment that truly supports their people in all their amazing work for our Cincinnati community. Seeing all the excitement and smiles as they toured the renovated facility, my heart was full. This project has truly captured our promise to Design for People, and I am extremely proud to have been a part of the amazing team that designed and built this project.”

BHDP Architecture led the design, with Messer Construction serving as the project's general contractor. See additional news coverage on Cincinnati Business Courier.
